I'm not clear what you're asking. You're thinking of riding north from the keys and wonder whether it's a good ride? I suppose that depends how much time you have, what you like to see and do, and what makes, for you, a good ride.
Or you're wondering whether it's worth shipping the bike from.....where to where? Europe to the keys? The Maritimes to the keys? Someplace random to someplace else?
Furthermore, what time of year (since that will matter greatly).
Hope that's helpful.

we're stumped right now.
Right now it's tentative to ship from San Francisco to Miami, riding thru the keys, making a u turn, riding north to Novia Scotia. Ship the bike back - all In a thirty day time frame? Now we're thinking of shipping closer to the end point, IE Maine, riding north and then come back to Maine. From the keys is hella long, and we ain't puppies no more. We did a trip thru CA on a KLR and it's been fifteen years so now a new trip is on the table.. Not a 3000 mile trip like CA...that was way too long...We had to sell the bike in Nicaragua..My butt hurt...We do have a year to plan but the bike is still the focal point. It's cheaper to ship than to rent for sure. And it gives us the freedom to change direction if we choose....It's seems like a gorgeous run on line...but everything is much better on line...everything.
