Gut Responses Wanted!! Be Honest...Would you be interested???
A Bit About Us: Stefan (Dutch) and Marie (Filipino) met in Bangkok, Thailand about 7 years ago. We fell in love, opened a successful fitness business and got married all in the same year!
6 years, 1 cat and 2 thriving fitness studios later we decided to sell it all and follow our dream to travel around the world on our motorbike (BMW GSA 1200 Triple Black)
Our journey started on the 3rd of June 2017 from Den Haag, Netherlands and we have been on the road ever since.
But to finance our continued travels we're thinking of creating a simple easy-to-follow fitness info-product specifically for riders but we’re not sure there’s a demand or interest.
Any feedback is welcome!
If you don’t mind, could we ask for 5 minutes of your time (as fellow motorbike riding/traveling enthusiasts) to fill out our survey?
Our short survey link is:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZGS5LNN
Thanks again for taking the time!
All the best and Happy Holidays,
Marie & Stefan

Thanks for those that took the time...
Since my survey is anonymous I'm not 100% sure if anyone from here took the time to answer my survey. But I'm pretty sure I did get some replies from here as one of the comments mention the "The HUBB"
...Thanks a ton to those that did take the time...
Cheers!!

It would be great to succeed in such a thing, however there is a lot of competition in these kind of things, I'm not sure if it will work out. Aiming them at riders could sound as a benefit, but I think the market demand is not so big. It is really a niche market.
I'm not sure what the fitness studios got sold for, and maybe it is not so important, but you want to look for something that generate (passive) income.
If you would get your fitness studios run by somebody else (hiring a manager instead of you) and still make you money, then that would count as passive income.
Or putting money in stocks exchange. Okay, buying separate company stock while being in the road is a bad idea, since if a company fails you lose everything. So you want to invest in ETF's that spread the chances but still make profit.
Of course there are so many other ways.
It means changing from the model of saving money to spend it on a trip, to a model in which you don't spend the saved money, but have it generate money for you. Then keep the cost down of travelling (which usually means slower travelling), and hopefully you can match it. If you succeed in that, you can travel for as long as you want.
But obviously it has to be a large sum of money to succeed in this, and it is not easy to gather that.
Maybe there are some options for you if you still have large amounts of money, and your aim is to travel forever.

Hello
I don't see demand.
On a short trip, 2-6 weeks, it's holyday no need for extra fitness.
On a long trip fitness might be a good idea, but money is tight and if needed, on Youtube you get it for free.

Good job at doing some research on the target market before you commit any time and money.
Here is a good article for you:
No easy ride: Motorcycle industry is in deep trouble and needs help fast, panel agrees - LA Times
Instead of limiting your product to foreign motorcycle travelers who travel for longer then 3 months in one trip, why not open it up to anyone who travels 60% or more of the time for their job? You can go after flight attendants, pilots, salesman, sailors, consultants, truck drivers, etc, etc.
From personal experience I recommend keeping your hobby, your hobby. Once you try and make money off if it, it often turns into more of a job than your hobby.

Thanks everyone for you input. We've been traveling for 6 months straight and we've managed to stay in the budget we set for ourselves. We're interested in starting an online business because it's so strange to see money flowing out but not flowing in. After the feedback we received here and from our survey we decided not to invest and follow through with our idea but decided to look into something else...
Thanks again!

Thanks, we did consider widening our target market, but the business model we were following was really encouraging niche targeting so we thought to shoot the idea out before committing...
We've decided that we're going to go a completely different direction for now and maybe revisit a fitness product for travelers another time.
Lol, too late! We already turned our "hobby" (traveling around on our motorbike) into a lifestyle (we sold our 2 fitness studios) so I'm pretty keen on starting to make money off/while riding...

When I’m travelling run every so often, hike, pick up the bike when I drop it and have a regular press-ups/squats,burpees routine.
I can’t see a market either, sorry.

I dunno - have you seen what sort of shape the average biker is in..?
I can't see a lot of demand. If you worry about fitness, you worry about it whether you are travelling or not. If you don't worry about it, this will have no appeal to you...

I replied to the survey before I scrolled down this page, so apologies if it's too late.
I've been to a few HUBB UK meetings & there is usually a presentation for those wanting to discover how to keep fit or supple whilst travelling. I haven't attended one but I've heard lots of positive feedback from those who did.
But realistically, most bikers expect to suffer aches and pains when riding long distances & we don't think about these things in advance.
I wouldn't buy a DVD, but I would subscribe to a YouTube channel that offered advice and some easy exercises if it was free to watch - there's a lot of free stuff out there you have to compete with. I don't know how it works but perhaps you could earn some cash through YouTube.
Happy & Safe travels

Riders should be fit and working out regularly but few does besides enduro and mx riders. Big mistake especially for adventure riders. In case of crashes and other hard situation on the road which sooner or later will happen you are much more vulnerable when out of shape, bones breaks more easily, you get tired quickly etc etc. Having said that I don't think so any special program is necessary lot's of that on youtube although personal coaching is pretty popular these days.
