How interesting are you?
Now I,ve seen recently there are a lot of folks doing a lot of talking, but who are they really?
I think It would be very interesting if some of us let the others know a brief history of their life,so we may get an insight into who,s doing the talking!!
I,ll start.
I,m 42 Scottish with no formal education.Left school washed dishes, moved to London to be a despatch rider, smoked a ton of dope and lived in squats for about five years.Moved to Ecuador to help my brother with a used Autopart business for about 3 years. They banned the import of used parts.Moved back to London, back to depatching but this time worked like a demon for 2 years and saved about 25k
I went back to Ecuador and opened the pub THE TURTLES HEAD based on my fanatical love of Viz, I,d never had my own business or worked in a pub, drank in plenty though.
Two years into the pub game I went and got myself a small microbrewery and started making the best in town using the best British ingredients,3 years later I open another pub called Busters named after my Bull terrier.
At about this time I discover the Hubb and start encouraging the passing bikers to drop in for a on the way past and pointing them in the right direction for bike parts, tyres etc and also general info on stuff in Ecuador,Peru and Colombia.
A year or two ago I get a job in the mining industry after a conversation in the pub that I thought was a joke, one thing leads to another and I find an opportunity to get myself into Geophysics of all things.
So at the moment I find myself living in Medellin Colombia.I,ve just successfully finished my first contract in Colombia and just about to begin the second.
The pubs are still running in Ecuador and I,m looking at the possibility of doing another bike related bar here in Medellin.
So there you go! thats who I am
Now who are you!!!

Long Line of Librarians
Well I am very lucky. I was brought up in a convent, having been found on the Cornish cliffs as a baby, I worked really hard to help the nuns. One day, after cleaning the nun’s crosses I was found in the library browsing through old copies of the bible, and the nuns realised that there may be a reason for my interest in their library. They scanned the local copies of 'Missing Cornishmen' and they realised that the same week I was found a couple of librarians went missing from a Mass Reading on the cliffs.
Every since then I have been allowed to work in the convent library free of charge, and that was how I found the HUBB, using the library computer.
Ever since finding it, I have dreamt of buying a motorbike and living the amazing glamorous lifestyle of the adventure riders, hoping that one day a big strong biker woman will take the cherry that the nuns cherish so highly.
Thanks for allowing me to finally get my story out beyond the readership of Cornish Nun Librarian Weekly.

Are you a troll? Or am i missing some sort of point here...
Quote:
An internet troll is a person who disrupts internet discourse through inflammatory, hostile or pointless posts. They aim to cause a reaction and therefore 'feed' on responses particularly hostile ones.

He's a troll - and a pretty stupid one as well. He still hasn't noticed that most people here are just laughing at him.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
