BUT the basic rules of polite and civil conduct which everyone agreed to when signing up for the HUBB, will still apply, though moderation will be a LITTLE looser than elsewhere on the HUBB.

Im 25 years old and have been riding for 7 years. So far I've owned 5 bikes, and currently have a 1985 XT600 Tenere and a 1999 Transalp 600. These bikes have been all that has gotten me through the past 2 years when I was at my lowest! Can't wait to do my first proper overlanding travel!

I've just totted-up that for me it's only really been eleven bikes in 45 years. I've had a couple of dozen besides, but they don't really count as they've just been the winter hack/bargain/look like fun bikes that were only owned and indeed expected to be owned, for somewhere between two days and six months. The longest serving has been the R100RS (36 years) the best bang for my buck (besides the RS) was a CB500T Honda the one which I should've kept was a Guzzi Mark-1 Le Mans and the one I should have never bought was a Honda CJ250.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
