We know we are nuts..

ARCTIC BUTT

ICE BUTT: 1000 mile / 24h IBA ride where one corner point must be on Polar Circle.
POLAR BUTT: 1000 mile / 24h IBA ride where one corner point must be on Polar Circle and star or finishing point Norkapp.
Now we but challenge on ultimate level
ARCTIC BUTT: 1000 mile / 24h IBA ride where whole route will be above Polar Circle and southern corner point on Polar Circle.
How we cone succeed ????

Some statistic about ICE BUTT rides

Only 10 rides has been completed by 9 riders so it’s not easy. Did not finish DNF has been reality for 27% of shots so that tells the truth how hard it’s achieve finishing line. It’s real hard for the bike and of course rider. This time we have some newcomers with so we’ll see if we gone have more Ice Butt riders after the event ??????

Polar Butt 2011
This ride we had -32C lowest and average - 24C

The only problem with that picture is traction, as for the rest it's exactly like snowmobiling.

You cannot ride like that in Rome at the moment.

Motorbikes are banned until further notice because of the weather.

I am riding my electric cycle in Denmark at the moment. We have been down to -23. The sea is frozen but if you wrap up well it is nice out in the sun.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
