Absolutely agreed on "more training needed". I'm just not convinced that IAM is a good source of training ... they convince you to do more overtaking and to ride fast, do they also practice locking the front wheel and then recovering? Emergency swerves? Emergency braking mid-corner? How to bail safely if you have to dump the bike on a grass verge? These are the things that are likely to affect the rate of accidents that are caused by bike riders.
