BUT the basic rules of polite and civil conduct which everyone agreed to when signing up for the HUBB, will still apply, though moderation will be a LITTLE looser than elsewhere on the HUBB.

The patience of all decent men must surely be exhausted

Found in an article posted on Aljazeera.com by Stuart Littlewood

"According to the U.S.'s own definition of terrorism Israel is squarely in the frame. Under Section 3 of Executive Order 13224 "Blocking Property and prohibiting Transactions with Persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support Terrorism", the term “terrorism” means an activity that…

(i) involves a violent act or an act dangerous to human life, property, or infrastructure; and

(ii) appears to be intended

• to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;

• to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or

• to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, kidnapping, or hostage-taking.

The order and its definition of terrorism, signed 23 September 2001 by George W Bush, is used to outlaw and crush any organization, individual or country the U.S. doesn’t like. The Israeli regime’s "amoral thugs", as a British MP branded them, have plainly been terrorizing the Palestinians for the last 60 years."

What more can I say except I agree, but I believe the US military aid to Israel is more like 200 billion per year and:

Found in an article by Jonathan Cook posted at Aljazeera.com

"Almost unnoticed, Israel and the White House signed a deal over the summer to station an early-warning missile radar system, staffed with U.S. military personnel, in Israel’s Negev desert. The media here described the Joint Tactical Ground Station, which brings Israel under the U.S. protective umbrella against missile attack, as a “parting gift” from President Bush as he prepared to leave office."

A good friend of mine, who was a warrior, once described this irony as "The wheels are finally falling off the cart" oh, I hope so....

Xfiltrate says: "The United States fraudulent leveraged credit based housing market, Enron, IGA, Leiman Brothers etc., Wall Street and many banks, the "big 3" auto makers, the Federal Reserve, Madoff and his 50 billion $ "Ponzi scheme" rip off (money I believe disappeared into the US secrete space program, 3 letter agencies and military Black Budgets), and now the Department of Defense are all being *hoisted by their own petards!!!

It is almost as if the aliens have landed and are sorting things out." Xfiltrate

*hoist with (or by) one's own petard is to have one's plans to cause trouble for others backfire on one. [ORIGIN: from Shakespeare's Hamlet ( iii. iv. 207);

New to Horizons Unlimited?

New to motorcycle travelling? New to the HU site? Confused? Too many options? It's really very simple - just 4 easy steps!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
