sending money to Cambodia

I have returned from Cambodia and want to send some money to friends I met there. I did some with Western Union and it cost $11.99 to send $20 so I have to find a better way. Anyone have the right way?

You transfer money from your account to the payees account via your on-line banking site; they then withdraw the money from their account. Simple. No different to paying a bill on-line.

You might want to try Sendmoneyhome.org (hyperlink button doesn't appear
to be working at the moment to you'll have to go there yourself)

It's a govt sponsored site allowing people to compare international
money transfer costs. I used to work on it so can vouch for it. Was
originally designed to to stop migrant workers getting ripped off but
has evolved for the tourist/traveller market.

All i can say is it's totally free and impartial, and if they don't list
a country you want get in touch with them and they either help you
individually or create a new country section for you.

Either way, you'll end up with a service that best suit for your need
whether it's speed, cost etc.

I'm not on commission by the way!...."

sending money to Cambodia

I checked this out and it looks good but I could not find Cambodia at all. I sent them a email so hopefully they will have something for me. Thanks. I am just not sure if many people there have bank accounts to transfer it to but I will have to check that out as well. If they did I would think paypal would work as well.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
