Should US plated bike sold elsewhere be cheaper or more expensive?
I'm curious why people who sell US plated bikes in South America sell them for more than they cost in the USA? It is not really in the spirit of travel in my opinion. They always have more miles/kms and are in poorer condition by then, not to mention the hassle of paperwork or forgery thereof. I wonder if lots of people will have to drop their bike prices soon due to the falling peso vs US dollar.
I've decided I will most probably ride an XR250 Tornado or 150 Bros now, both seem like good bikes, hope they can hold their own at altitude.
