statement from 2ridetheworld
Friends...
We have been very privileged in our 10 year trip to have such fond memories of places around the world, experienced a wide variety of cultures
and met some amazing people. Unfortunately more recently an individual in Malaysia has maliciously targeted us and we have been the subject of
scurrilous gossip.
It has been a very stressful and traumatic time for us, v compounded by the death of (my) Lisa’s father.
We remain professional and refuse to be intimidated.
We would like to thank everyone for their support at this difficult time.

No worries Lisa
You know I had a similar problem at ADV, hang in there kid !
update: Cultural Adventurer just showed up at my door with a KLR 2008 burning oil - a familiar symptom of that year bike as some of the rings provided by one manufacturer were faulty. We are in process of tearing it down now, and I'll be crossing into Mexico with him "Rob" and probably ride a bit together.
Great guy and good pianist as well.
NO WORRIES !
James

That must feel terrible to learn fellow motorcycle enthusiasts spread false rumors about you. It's amazing how many scumbags are out there who smile at your face and talk trash behind your back. People who gossip lack the courage to speak their mind to your face, preferring jealous babbling to make themselves look knowledgeable.
One thing for certain, the truth always comes out and eventually we all discover who said what about who--behind their back.

Lisa, Simon , This is a sign that you have achieved success, if you were Jane Doe and John Doe this would not have happen. There is probably some jealousy envy and resentment from this individual .
You two have worked hard for your achievements , Don’t let an individual taint your achievement . Having followed your journey, you have helped me, encouraged me and shown Understanding and kindness , you two get my Vote
Lisa I am sorry for your loss and I know it must be very difficult for you, I do hope of the millions of good people in this world will help to ease your pain .
Take care you two Mark

Sorry to hear about your dad.
What is the gossip and what does the individual have to gain by spreading it?
Lots of these people around - just pass them by.
Good luck.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
