BUT the basic rules of polite and civil conduct which everyone agreed to when signing up for the HUBB, will still apply, though moderation will be a LITTLE looser than elsewhere on the HUBB.

The Spring Classic

'The Classique''

Is on its 10th edition this year, it takes place in the Laurentians (cottage country) just north of Montreal on May 7th 2016.

This event more or less kicks off the riding season in this neck of the woods... It has grown to become a very popular ride here, and enjoys the support of a few major sponsors such as BMW Montréal, Wunderlich, KLIM etc...

Simply put, this ride is for everybody that can ride a dualsport/adventure bike. Four different routes to choose from, each with it's own level of difficulty (Beginner, easy, intermediate and difficult), With groups of 10 that are lead by experienced riders w/GPS and sweeper.

With respect to perks... Everyone gets coffee/muffins in the morning, a lunch at mid day and a commemorative T-Shirt. Once the ride itself is over, we close off the day and have a group meal in a large restaurant where we draw door prizes.

For those present in the evening, every year we give away lots of prizes (+/- 7000$ last year) such as motorcycle clothing, parts, trips etc... One of the main prizes this year will ba a one week bike/hotel/guide in the beautiful Guatemalan countryside from MAG tours

Here's a Vid to give you a better idea...

We started registration this week and spots are going REALLY fast, (As I'm writing this, 220 people have registered in just a few days) , but this year we'd love to diversify the crowd just a bit and we decided to reserve 50 spots for our out of province brothers.

If you need a place to stay, many local riders do offer a place to crash, plus it's always a lot of fun to meet new people.

You can join as ''Solo'' and we will ad you to an existing group or you can form your own (10 riders max) but one of them would need to act as group leader (with GPS).

All dualsport/adventure bikes are welcome, all riding abilities also, it's one of the things make the ''Classique'' such an interesting ride

The cost of the ride is 25$ and if you want to attend the end of day banquet, it'll be 30$ (5$ reservation deposit refunded on your restaurant check).

So here you go, if you are interested in joining us just click on the following link:

Again all are welcome, if you have any questions, please dont hesitate to post them here, I'll try to answer them as quickly as possible.

Cheers!

:-)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
