Touratech
Has any bought the new zegapro 2 boxes, just spent a grand and guess what carnet use them as i need a lock to secure to the frame so they don't fall off, for such "top of the range" its a bit poor also they sent the wrong colour frames.
Anyone have any experiences with this company, a lot of money for something i carnet use.

I'd use the search function for some comments on TT issues! Assuming you bought them from Chester, I'd go and see them (as it's not far from Manchester) and talk through the issues. In my experience, discussing things over the 'phone doesn't always produce results. If you don't get any joy in the UK, I've always had good experiences with TT Germany HQ. They've always been happy to help; it's just a shame I can't buy from them as they won't post to a UK address.
When non of these pay off, buy some Metal Mules!

Why would they fall off? They have the puck system of mounting used by lots of metal box manufacturers.

Agree, the touratech system seems a good compromise between being too rigid and allow a little bit of movement.

My guess is that they are the Rapid Trap ones, which like all the others you have to buy locks in addition. "Customer choice" I guess

These don't have the puck, it has level and with the slightest pressure or vibration will free the lever, a bit like the bmw boxes i could not trust them, i have had to put a metal the wrap though

Touratech are useless. It's like they just pick random things off a warehouse shelf and send them off to customers...
They send our place the wrong parts 30% of the time... It's a lottery.

I use these people:
motorcycle-luggage-shop.com > Suzuki
as I think they're probably quicker to deliver to Aberdeenshire than those based in the UK, and I pay the TT Germany euro prices as well. Very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Still don't understand- how are the OPs panniers fixed on? The Rapid Trap panniers shown still have the pucks.
BTW, anyone seen the bags Moto Mosko are scheming to put into production? Soft but QR and importantly for this pillion carrier- no straps over the seat. S'what I'm buying, hard bags toooo heavy. Mosko Moto | Backcountry Moto Gear

From what I've seen the top pucks are there, and the "normal" locking system can be used for more demanding conditions, but the top pucks only locate the pannier when using the rapid trap system.

Touratech
These boxes have the lever mech that operates from the outside, to stop the lever opening by accident you need to put in a lock, spoke to Touratech and they never call back, but the attitude from their staff is dreadful, I explained my predicament and the lady's reply was "what ever"
Anyone else have similar experience with this company

Well if that is what they said to you then you need to speak to Nick Plumb, the head honcho at TT UK. Although I'm not a massive fan of Touratech stuff (and their prices!) Nick is a top bloke and he needs to know what's going on.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
