Websites selling used bikes in the UK?

Hello everyone

I'm looking for a second hand, new model Tenere from the UK and I would like to get some addresses to the UK websites that have used bike ads or ads about vehicles generally. I found Bike Trader already. Any others? Or if anyone has a Tenere for sale, feel free to offer it to me at janaukka(a)lut.fi . Thanks.

Jami

Jami, register at XT660.com and ask the guys there. They'll know what's about. I think the bike is very new and second hand ones may be rare. There are some low mileage ones at the dealers but they want new money for them.

Have you ridden one? I find the engine very lumpy. I don't know why they have to be this rough as the DR650 engine is smooth as silk. However, they get smoother with the miles I've heard. Otherwise it's a lovely bike. Remember though that they're built in Italy not Japan, this worries me.

There are plenty of people doing big miles on these so time will tell.

Jami, as flying doctor says check out xt660.com, there is loads of info on there.

Some of the dealers over in the UK are offering good deals on fully kitted out new and nearly new bikes. Try Brackley yamaha they had one with all the extras for a little ocver the new list price.

Get one quick as the price is due to rise.

I have had mine since the summer, its a great bike, the vibes do smooth out with the miles.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
