Hello
Well what's wrong with that?
If you can live with just one pair of unterwear and a toothbrush, go for it.
If you think you might need a bit more, take it.
I can't go out there without ALL I NEED TO SURVIVE:
- 4-person Hilleberg, after a while even this feels small
- two 5cm thick TherArest together 10cm, I'm not getting any younger
- camping chair and table, how else can one enjoy a cup of tea and a sunset
- an umbrella for when it rains while camping
- a pair of old boots for watercrossings
- and .......
One might ask about the weight, well just learn to ride your bike

Everyone has different requitements and depending where you're going and how far off the beaten track you're going to get. I've found going for 6 weeks or 6 months I take about the almost same amount of equipment and spares.
Good quality, water proof & warm riding gear. Tools, air & oil filters, tubes, tyre, clutch & break levers, chain & sprockets, spare plug's, light globe's ect. I take enough clothes for a week including 2 pairs of jeans, 7 shirts, 7 pairs of sox n jocks, a good pair of pants & shoes even a tie lives in my shaving kit, you just never know where you're going to end up! last's up to 10 days or longer going commando without doing laundry and it all fits in 1 pannier! 2 man tent, xped mattress, quality sleeping bag that opens up completely, cooking and camping, equipment, 2 torches, lighters, food & water, alcohol & cigars, no chair or table..... yet :-) Fuel, oil, coolant and WD40. Laptop, phone, maps, gloves sunnies and sundries. Also a hand full of small souvenirs & stickers from home for the special people you meet along the way :-)
Good luck with your planning, Cheers Dave.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
