2 Oxford Monster Chains with Padlocks for sale in Central London UK
Hello all,
a while ago I bought 3 Oxford Monster chains with padlocks to secure my bike to a lamppost or a tree as I don’t have a garage, this looked like the best solution: one chain around the tree, one around the bike and another one as a link.
This did cost me a small fortune as the retail price for these was around £130 each(!) last year but I was happy as I could sleep knowing the bike was safe “out there”.
Well, now that I am moving I don’t need two of the three chains so I would like to sell them at the price of £50 each- fair price I think - to fund my ½ (half) RTW trip.
The chains are in good working order (there is literally NOTHING you can do to damage these chains unless you involve heavy duty machinery...), padlocks been regularly lubricated, no theft attempted, I still have all 3 keys, and the two original carry pouches to strap them to the bike. Apparently they are one of the strongest chains you can find in the UK.
These chains sell at over £150 in the shops and at least at £100 on the internet, here is the cheapest link I could find: Oxford Monster 1.5m Chain & Padlock**Free Shipping** [OF802] - £99.99 : BikeBitz UK ::: Quality range of Motorcycle Parts, Accessories and Luggage
the product I am selling is the same.
Length: 1.5mt
From the website:
Sold Secure Approved
Thatcham Approved
5 Minute Attack Tested (Sledgehammer, Boltcropper & Drill)
11.5mm Hardened Ni-Cr-Mo Alloy Steel Shackle
11.5mm Triple Heat Treated Square Link Chain
Double Locking Mechanism with 2 Hardened Steel Bolts
Picture here is of one of the chains, both are identical.

I'd like the other one if it's still available, Alex. Can collect in London on Monday.

Shall we meet here?

co-ordinates: 51 30 45.98 N, 0 11 36.09 W, where the chains used to be, opposite the Prince Edward pub in Princes Square, Bayswater, London W2 4NY?
Monday or Tuesday any time during the day except Mon eve and Tue lunchtime.
Ideal for me is Mon lunchtime but not really fussy as I live around the corner.
Will send you a PM with my mobile number.
Thank you for your time guys.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
