Overland Solutions XR650L Desert Riders Rack for Sale, UK
I have for sale the luggage rack and front crash bar from the legendary desert riders Chris Scott XR650L made by Ernie at Overland Solutions. The rack is designed to fit a Honda XR650L and accomodates Zega solid panniers with touratech mounts that are designed to pop-off in the event of a crash. The panniers are not included but I have a set of touratech mounts I will throw in.
This rack is really solid as anyone who knows Ernie's work will appreciate. It may be possible to have this rack cut and re-made to fit another bike.
No reasonable offer refused but the rack MUST be collected by Sat 26th June 12:00 as I am moving house! I am in Worcester near junction 7 of the M5
Photos are attached.
07950475854 for more info.
Cheers Andy.

I'm almost tempted to buy an XR650L just to justify buying that rack. Looks great! Someone will be getting a great deal.

I hope so because otherwise it's going in the skip which would be tragic quite honestly.

If nobody else wants it I'll buy it for my XR600 to save it from the skip. pm me if you're running out of time and give me some idea of what you had in mind.

I can't really say. The africa twin is a phsically bigger machine so I doubt it would bolt straight on but of course it could be cut and made to fit.

Another XR650L rack from the Desert Riders exped for sale
Steel rack to fit an XR650L for sale that was especially made for the Chris Scott led Desert Riders exped.
I bought the bike off Chris (and it goes just lovely!) although it wasn't the one he used on the actual trip - it belonged to John.
I've got it up on ebay, so take a look if you're interested.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
