2009 DR650 !!!! Fund Big Al's trip to AUS! Located in 98258
Up for sale is the Pride and Joy of my Big Al’s Bike Barn. My
2009 Suzuki DR650 with 17,798 miles. $5,500 (see why below!)
I bought this motorcycle in January of 2012, from the 2nd owner (ADVBilly), upon return from my prior motorcycle trip from Seattle to Argentina (4/2011 - 11/2011). I rode it home from Alabama to Seattle, catching a ride from San Diego to Northern Oregon. You see, I needed this DR650! I was going to pimp it out, and ride the hell out of it! Ride it to Alaska! Ride it around the USA! Ride the TAT on it! Ride the WABDR! Ride EVERYWHERE! Well I did pimp it out! Hell, I might even send it to Africa and ride it to Europe. Mongolia! Asia!?!?!?
Then!
I came to realize that I NEED as much money as I can possibly acquire in preparation for the year of 2013 that my girlfriend and I plan to spend in AUSTRALIA! YES! We applied for our Working Holiday Visas last week and were granted them the same week. All of my moto’s are up for sale, and this is the saddest sale of them all! It sucks. Hell I just sold my Moto-Mule trailer I pulled behind my DR.
When I commit, it's go big or go home. No use in half-assing this effort. No way in hell. It's all got to go.
I bought this bike extremely farkled from Billy in Alabama who sold it to buy a F650GS, (later selling it to buy an F800GS). It was nearly perfect minus a few things I couldn’t live without. Prepare yourselves for the following list of accessories which came with the bike when I bought it, and which were added by me after I had it in my possession.
Highlights include: Safari Tank, Renazco Seat, 21"/18" Wheels with Billet Rad Hubs,Excell Rims, Buchanan Spokes and TUBLISS set up, TM40 Carb, Cogent Shock, Race Tech Intimidators, Wolfman 2nd Gen Racks with Pelican bags, Oversized Rotor, GSXR600 Exhaust / Keintech Midpipe.

This bike is about as well set up as it could possibly be. MINUS the RM USD Fork modification. So, as a present to the buyer, a set of 1995 RM250 front forks with triple tree and axle will be included, with new fork seals and fork oil. These are plug and play forks when an RM250 front wheel/rotor is used. I didn't install them because I didn't want to give up my oversized front rotor, and heavy duty rim/hum
Now, as I was saying, this bike is missing very little, if anything, to make it more awesome. Sure you could add a rear braided brake line, and a rear galfer wave rotor, and oversized foot pegs, and an accessory plug, swap the exhaust can for a x40F0x titanium can, and get a Keihin FCR39mm Carb if you felt like it. Go For It. I like it the way it is! (You see, I know my shit.... HAHAHA)
This bike has no ignition key, as it was removed by the previous owner. It is not included. However, I can secure a new one at cost for the buyer should that person be interested. Currently it is wired to 2 individual switches that must be connected to start the bike. I’ll show you how.
If you are interested in a price breakdown, I have created an Excel file that I will gladly send you. Total price of accessories is $5042 give or take a couple hundred bucks. Given that a seller never regains the cost of the items installed on a bike, I’ve given them a 50% valuation when considering the sale price of this bike.
The bike is located in Lake Stevens, WA 98258, 30 miles north of Seattle.
ADV Pricing starts at $5,500 oboand is slightly negotiable. Shoot me your offers if your not comfortable with this price, and we can dicker about it. I'm not afraid, and you shouldn't be either. I know it is nearing the end of the season, but I also know the value of this bike. It will never let you down, and is capable of taking you around the world starting tomorrow.
