Tenere Luggage rack and alu boxes needed
Hej All,
I'm in need of a luggage rack and Alu boxes for my Tenere '89 3AJ. Anyone have or knows someone that wants to sell?
Also a general question: I'm also looking for a couple of 10 ltr. jerry cans, were the WWII models ever made in 10 ltr. versions?
Cheers, Aubrey.

Hi I have seen 10 ltr 'jerry' cans for sale in Army surplus shops here in the UK. Would think you'd be able to get them there in Denmark if we can get them here.
Would this be in addition to larger tank? From experience I would say it's always better to go to a larger tank in the first place rather than use cans (if you haven't already). I struggled with some all the way to Singapore last year from UK and wished I had paid for a bigger tank instead.

Hej there,
I should have said second hand racks and alu boxes. The ones I've found on the net are *mega* expensive.
Spud, I'm in the process of fitting two holders on my crash bars and I'd like one 10 ltr jerry can for water and one for petrol. The plastic ones I can find here in DK don't seem up to the job (i.e. taking a slide on tarmac). The idea is not really to have longer range but as a safety measure where needed.
Cheers, Aubrey

Give Ernie at Overland Solutions a ring, he can always get hold of ally boxes and Jerry cans (he has 4 suppliers and sometimes has 2nd hand stuff too).
He'll make you a rack too, based on jigs and templates he has for the 3AJ - no need to visit him. I know he recently made a full set of gear for a US rider...
Not sure metal Jerry cans are better than plastic ones for fitting to crash bars though. I have the same plan for my bike, and I am looking for plastic 10l cans.
Good luck - keep us updated!
