UK - Samsung Rugged Tablet & Locking Mount
After a change of plans, my Samsung Galaxy Active Tab and the powered Brodit locking mount are for sale.
I contributed to a thread on AdventureBikeRider about it and here's a snippet from there: https://adventurebikerider.com/forum...p?f=24&t=38882

I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active. It's the waterproof/dustproof/shockproof one. It comes with a rubberised case and a stylus too. I got the wifi and LTE one which means it's a proper phone as well with sim card if you want it to be.
To hold it I got a brodit locking mount (Ram mount compatible)
I have not used it yet for a few reasons though
1) Undecided on what nav program to use, Here Maps, Waze, Google Maps etc for normal stuff or Locus, OSMand etc for off the beaten track.
2) It's heavy, and with the mount on the bike it'll need more than just a RAM arm to keep it in the same place
3) It's massive so I need to find somewhere to put it so I can still see my speedo etc.
It's this one:

There are a load of reviews of it on youtube and the web, here's one though:

It's as new really, the mount has never been used. You'll need a RAM Ball to put on the back of the mount but I have a new sealed one I shall include in the deal (Not in any of my photos)
Here's a stock image of the RAM Ball I shall include
The tablet is a rugged version, so water, dust, drop resistant, it has Wifi, Bluetooth and you can pop a SIM card in too so you can use it as a phone and that obviously gives you internet access etc. It also has a slot for a SDCard, I currently have a 64Gb one in there but this isn't included. The tablet has only ever been used in the car to test the satnav apps and to watch Amazon Prime on
I've tried many Android Satnav apps and they work great. Locus, Waze, OSMand, HereWeGo, Google etc.
The Brodit mount is the powered one, so you hardwire it into your bike and it'll power/charge the tablet on the go. It's also the locking version and includes two keys so you can lock the tablet to the mount making it convenient to leave on the bike without worrying about those with wandering fingers. The mount has never been used.
Price, including postage (to most UK locations) is £225 If you need any more photos or information please let me know.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
