Is your old one definately toast? What's it doing wrong?
Have you asked BMW about how they are supplied? If BMW supply them wet (ie charged with brake fluid) it's because they will be almost impossible to bleed due to air trapping in the solenoid seals. In this case a BMW spare or at least a second hand unit send with the old fluid somehow held in is going to be what you need. A wet unit sent by air is a shipping nightmare so lets hope they are supplied dry or you can get one locally.
My only experience with BMW ABS has been to repair wiring faults the dealers have put down to hugely expensive components which were actually fine. Experience with the systems (Landrover and so on) I used to work with on the design and support side says that unless you've had welding done on the bike it'll be the loom not the components.
Good luck & drop me a line if you think I can help.
