Hire a motorcycle in cambodia

its can be a headach whe it comes to find a place to rent a motorcycle in Cambodia. Last 5 years, people would prefer to rent one from lucky lucky or angkor.

Last month my friend went to lucky lucky and got a honda xr 250 cc--look and sound good right? well after riding in the city for like a week. he decided to go and gave the bike back coz he did not feel good with the bike. he did not trust that the bike would be able to make his trip to cardamon mountain.

i recommend you check out mrbikerental on 194Deo, Preah Sihanouk Bld. Hope one is available for you coz my friend called and was told all the bikes had been rented out.

If you plan to ride for long and far, one come with kick start and electric starter will be good coz battery migh go dead. if that happen to you, u will need someone pushes you to start the engine.

Couldn't agree more

Absolutely, sound advice on all fronts.

We also found Angkor Motorcycles (Nº. 92Eo, Pasteur (St. 51), between Street 172 & 174, Phnom Penh 12210) to be excellent value for money.

There's also a couple of Americans that run a massively overpriced business, and a knowledgeable French chap (running a different outfit) that seemed genuine and experienced.

The French guy had a superb photo on the wall, of his bike floating across a large river with half a dozen plastic barrels keeping it from sinking, and a Cambodian guy swimming next to it. Off subject, but it stuck in my mind..

I rented a XR250 from the french guy a few years ago and he was great. Good bikes in excellent condition. I rented the bike for 3 weeks and never had a problem. He put new tires on when i rented it.

spare tubes

front and rear spare tubes should be carried along. Normally, you can find only tubes for the scooter in local workshop.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
