Jacket Armour Pockets..
I usually advise people to split their carrying cash up,into aleast three or four quantities.. and have a "throw away" day wallet.. something to hand over with a few notes in it if your robbed..
The rest can be hidden on a bike, in your cloths and gear. Bike jackets often have nice internal pockets for armour.. tucking a few notes in side one for emergencies is a good place to keep it well out of site. Most non bikers wouldnt even think of looking in there... or know the pockets exist.
Money belts are ok, but street wise scumbags often expect foriegners to be carrying them.
In africa I had the habbit of carrying a few american dollars sewn into liners on luggage and rucksacks, in case of emergencies.
If you keep your cash split up, its harder to loose it all and it dawns on you quicker, the rate at which your chewing through it hopefully giving you some time to sort it out..
