vaccinations needed for border crossings Peru-Bolivia-Chile ??
(i posted same thread somewhere else in this forum... :-) )
Hi Folks,
does anyone have some experiences concerning vaccinations needed for the border crossing from / to Bolivia into Peru or Chile? Is there any REAL check for vaccination of yellow fever on the border(s) so that the crossing may be prohibited?
Thanks for any advise!

I rode through all these countries in 2006, and was never asked to show any proof of vaccination, or asked any medical questions at all. I am vaccinated for Hep A & B and yellow fever though, and consider it cheap insurance.

Vaccinations are not compulsary except yellow fever when crossing between some countries. Im not sure which ones but i know for a fact if you want to go to bolivia to brazil it will get checked as i was refused permission to cross into brazil as i didnt have one, which was easily sorted i bought a backdated one from a clinic in bolivia! And it must be dated 14 days at least before you plan to cross.
