Bike hire in Malaysia
Hope this is the right board for this question, if not please advise.
I will be in Alor Setar, Malaysia from 22nd till 25th Sept then I need to get to Kuala Lumpur for the 29th. Does anyone know if it is possible to hire bikes in Malaysia for this kind of trip?

I'd be interested in knowing this too.
A couple of years back I spent seven months in Malaysia and didn't see anything more than a 125cc for rent, but then again, I didn't have a bike licence at the time, so wasn't looking for anything too big either.
I did see the odd sports bike, so there must be some market there...
Cheers,
Rob

Yep, I was looking for something a little bigger than 125cc, but it's only for three or four days, so as long as it can carry me and some luggage I don't mind...
Anyone have any ideas/contacts etc?

went to Bali in july. motorcycles everywhere.
Only small ones but thats all you need in towns.tried to research bike hire before i went and had no luck but when i arrived there was bikes being offered all over the island. they were hired out by the owners so you had to return them to the same person at the same place.
the moral is ...just try your luck, you'll be right!
