I think the best idea would be to work with a dealership. I could probably get a better deal with a private seller but that would take more running around to get the paperwork down. I'm not sure how registration and insurance would work as I don't have a permanent address in the US, but I bet most dealerships would be able to take care of those details. I'd like to just arrive, sign some papers, pay for the bike and get riding.
I have e-mailed the Deerhorn cycle guys and they seem willing to arrange both a buy-back and paperwork.
