Defining RTW
Hi folks!
Only for curiosity, I was thinking about the number of people that ride a RTW trip. Perhaps the figure locates between 500 and 2.000, I have no idea. But first, it’s necessary to define what we understand for a RTW.
So, I would like to propose (if anyone makes before) a couple of rules to give a “RTW certificate”. This are:
1.To ride over 60.000 km, at least
2.To ride through Asia, America and other continent, at least
Which is your opinion???

This is much discussed here:

Read that thread before adding to this one!
Best guess of the number that have done rtw by some reasonable definition at this point is closer to 2000 imho.
RTW is 27,000 km...

Sorry, I didn't find the topic because I only revised the messages from the last year (default option, you know).
Cheers

No problem Enrique, most people wouldn't have known it. I see most threads, though not all posts by any means. Feel free to add on your comments and thoughts!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
