Consider maybe 2 or 3 days of "on the trail" one on one or group training with a good teacher ... then move on. Get out and DO IT solo! You won't learn from osmosis. Classes only take you so far.
Enter events, you'll learn lots just from watching and hanging out with other competitors. (and trying to follow them down a trail)
ALL skills desired will be tested on even a "C" loop Enduro. If you've learned your basics well then you should be OK if on the right bike. (DR650 not ideal) Nothing like the real thing to accelerate learning curve.
No one can ride the trail for you. You have to do it, take the falls, make the tough sections. J-mo and Piglet did not get there over night.
I studiously avoid such technical challenges on my DR650 even though I am a former AMA "B" level Enduro rider. (retired) But if good enough, you'll make it.
