Interesting places in the USA
Hi all
Just planning a 6 month trip through the USA and I'm looking for the out of the way places state side, those places off the tourist beaten track that are a must to see.
Also looking for fellow riders to meet up on my travels over there.

If you like nature, then you should spent a lot of time in Utah, just amazing scenery there. You can also camp free of charge in Bonneville Salt Flats (100 miles west from Salt Lake City).
Another amazing place is Anteloupe canyon NE from Grand Canyon. This is really busy touristic place and you need to prebook a trip (it is in Indian lands), but canyon is truly amazing.
Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada -area is full of wonders.

Southern Colorado!
Maker sure to get to southern Colorado and pick up a copy of the Colorado Pass Book. There is a ton of very interesting mining infrastructure and some great roads.

Trans America trail from Colorado to Oregon.
Moab Utah for Arches NP and the fantastic Chicken corners - White rim and Shaffer trails. You can free camp up a quiet single track paved road opposite the entrance to Arches NP - this also puts you at the start point for the trails.
Have fun

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
