London/Essex Meet

Hi All

As Christmas has passed and another new year is about to begin.

Thought perhaps it may be an idea to see if anyone fancies meeting up for a . Be good to catch up and see what people are upto/planning for next year.

If anyone is interested, respond to thread and we'll see where the best venue would be.
(Sorry not interested in the Ace Cafe etc)

Cheers

Julio

May well be interested - I'll add my name to the list and wait for the numbers to build up before commenting on venues.

I might be on for that. My trips so far have been quite modest (see link below), and my bike not really the big adventure style (thinking of getting a V-Strom this year), but I'm on for learning more and getting a few more miles under my belt.

Did you say ?! I'm in!!

Can't contribute much in the way of experience, but will sponge up any knowledge from the more roadwise travellers!

Any location in the London/Essex area will be fine. Ditto on the weekend.

Namsa.

Hi All

So far a Friday or Saturday night is looking good.

Will wait to see if we get any more interest and then sort out where to meet.

Just a reminder that this is a chance to meet up with like minded people and it don't matter a hoot how much or how little travelling you've done. All are welcome, just enjoy yourself.

Cheers

Julio

Hi Julio

I'm in Gloucester, so an evening in a London pub's not practical. Why don't we have a mini camping weekend? I know a good venue not too far from the smoke, flat field, friendly pub etc. I'm early retired so wouldn't mind doing some organising. Just a thought.

Regards, Mick

Hi All

Looks like the first meet will be on the 28th January at 7.30pm at the Nags Head Pub just off the M25 junction 28 heading towards Brentwood

Address
The Nags Head
44, Brook St, Brentwood, Essex CM14 5ND
Tel: 01277 260005

Be careful if you use multi map as the indicator shows the wrong position on the map but the pub is marked.

Hopefully see a few of you there.

Mick the weekend camping sounds good, will have a chat with other guys on Saturday 28th

Cheers

Julio

Yes! Let everyone in the area know it's on. Julio, you're the instigator...

Hi Grant

Wrist has been slapped

Have sent a mail to the London community about the meet. Should it be opened any wider?

Cheers

Julio

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
