Open casting for motorcycling TV co-host - currently in Central America, going RTW

OneTank Sizzle
https://youtu.be/2Uw5npdSM0Q*

We’re casting for a female TV co-host for an adventure series about travel, food, and culture that celebrates diversity & promotes sustainability. The ideal co-host has a dynamic personality, mad food skills, and filmmaking experience. Candidates with riding skills and languages will be considered favourably.

Crafting films about travel & food that celebrate diversity, cultivate tolerance, and promote sustainability is what I do. OneTank is an epic adventure fueled with recipes, for life. And the special sauce is challenge. We explore all sorts of places and meet all sorts of chefs, from Michelin stars to mom & pops, who embrace the challenge to create a purely local dish.

Going around the world on a motorcycle, exposed and accessible, attracts characters who candidly show us the lay of the land. As we hunt & gather, audiences become one with each place and its people. From barrios to jungles and pastures to palaces, we experience a day in the life.*

In order to challenge a chef, we have to find them. Iran, Vietnam, Machu Picchu, the Balkans, Silk Route and Northern Lights are on the list. OneTank is all about getting to hard to reach places, and finding the nuggets.

Making this video, with food as a compass, I experienced incredible challenges & celebrations: Hunting ducks with a master chef, and opening wine with his shovel in* remote Baja; Riding over mountains thru clouds of freezing sleet; Sailing into Cuba, on a motorcycle no less; Being rousted from a tent in the middle of the night by officials from the Interior Ministry; Scoring lobster on Havana’s black market; Dancing on a rooftop overlooking 500,000 fans at a Rolling Stones show +

This World Nomads sizzle was shot primarily with a Canon D7, iPhone 6 & GoPro Hero4 on a selfie stick. Footage is predominantly POV. Edited with iMovie on a laptop on the road, when and where there’s electricity. Production on a well-worn shoestring. There have been so many magic moments, and I can’t wait to have a budget and crew to capture the next ones.

Season 1: Cuba.*
Status: pre-production

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
