riding with cateracts???

or system 5 anti-fogging advice (I though this title would get more looks)

Okay the weather is $h1t here in the midlands UK right now.. and now that i am an all weather / every day biker (the dreaded commute).. i need some advice.. i have the system 5 helmet ... I have used it plenty in the rain.. but never filtering before... when filtering I am going slowly...e.g. no wind... and I get hot.. so this equals a very fogged up visor.. So what you suggest for stopping it ... I was riding blind this am or sometimes with a very wet face (if i pin lock it up)..

your gonna hate me........

But..... I prefer an open face lid, and a "bubble" visor if i have to have one.... ok it makes a guy look like a bit of a prawn but it dont mist up, and you soon get used to the cold...... either that or Numbness sets in!

I have used an open face lid 365 days a year in the UK since 1990 when a large German Shepard Dog took a very long and smelly Pee into My full face lid that was chained to my BMW! there was no option but to buy a cheap lid to get the 150 miles home....... 19.99 got me an open face lid. I liked it so much I then paid out 75 quid for a good un!

I use a Caberg Justissimo Flip Lid, and don't have the mist up problem, I also use BRASSO on the inside and outside of the Visor as it makes water bead off in rivets.

New to Horizons Unlimited?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
