They think its all over (land)

Ok, this is it. After over a year of research and preparation I'm ready to leave Essex for Mongolia, I would like to thank The HUBB and its participants for all the information and advice. One thing that has occupied my thoughts as I read various reviews and opinions is that is there just one motorcycle related thing that everyone can agree on. It’s obviously not make of bike nor panniers and what to pack in them, not tyres or tools. So all I can come up with is, can we all agree that it is simply not necessary to have nitrous injection for an overland trip? (I mean into the combustion chamber, I’m sure in the health section someone it’s recommended as a substitute for adrenalin or something)

Yes, I think we can agree on that.

Be sure to post a story & pics, either here or somewhere, and share a link to it.

Cheers and best of luck!

Hey Flid,

Have a great trip and yep, its whatever you think it is.....as my brother's wife indicated last weekend (she is Mongolian). She said " I don't know why you people (English) are so obsessed with going to places like Mongolia. It's much more interesting here".

Best of luck,

Belle

My wishes for an excellent and unforgettable trip (even if I'm sure it will be like that...).

Yes, I can understand that comment Belle. Of all the places I've ridden to (which is just about everywhere else) I think Mongolia is probably the most over rated of countries.

Don't worry though Flid, you'll still have a great time travelling through all the other countries en route to getting there.

What do you mean no nitrous injection? We can all see that cylinder of nitrous strapped to the front fork! Just dont use it all at once! Good luck with the trip.

I'd personally suggest the nitrous oxide instead of the scottoiler bottle there on the front fender... it'll buy you street cred. :P

Have an awesome time!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
