I am thinking of Salford to Mumbai one way, and maybe shipping my bike back.
This will be in the SCHOOL summer holidays in 2015 I will take about a month to do this, then spend a week or so with family. I have a places to stay there with family!
User: brendanhall,
Start / Finish: salford UK to Mumbai
Route: under review! but thinking of:
England, France, Belgium (want to stop at war grave for a couple of hours), Germany (want to see Nuremberg), Austria (want to see Vienna), Hungary, Romania (want to see Transfagarasan pass & Ploiesti), Bulgaria, Turkey (want to see Istanbul, Anzac bay & ancient cave houses), Iran (want to see Kerman, Persepolis)
I am hoping for a Major miracle here and want to cross the border to Pakistan at Pishin not Taftan!
This would allow traversing Pakistan near the sea and well away from Afghanistan and the associated problems that has.
Depending on how we are doing and feeling there is actually more than one way into India! Wahga and the Thar Express! Then It depends where I go over that border!
Main Dates: July & August 2015
Vehicle: possibly a K75.
Notes: Might have a pillion!

my plans for 2015
Hello all, what a good idea to have this kind of thread.
I have postponed my next ride to Asia, I wanted to do it this year (2014) but I decided I need some time off traveling and more time reading. So it will be 2015 to go back to Asia.
User: mika, Germany/Finnland, at the moment living in Bolivia
Start / Finish: Sagres (Portugal) - Nairobi (Kenya)
Route: Europe, Russia (to Vladivostok), China, Central Asia, Middle East, East Africa
Main Dates: Start April 2015, End January 2016
Vehicle: Suzuki DR 350 to Vladivostok and maybe a Chinese bike for China and the rest
Notes: Fast ride thru Europe and Russia (6 weeks) to visit friends, 3 months in China, then leaving to Kirgistian and going South to Iran. Oman, Jemen, Djibuti, Addis, Nairobi .... this is only the plan now, it can change tomorrow.
Looking for somebody to cross into China mid May 2015 near Vladivostok ... no guides for China ... only experienced travelers

Vehicle: F800GS x 2 if we both end up doing this
Notes: Modman and I met up to ride Iceland in 2013.
