Smile ADVENTURE: Seville-Khasghar-Beijing-Ulan Baatar 2020

If my girlfriend finds out about this, she kills me. By the year 2020 I am planning to make the Silk Road starting from Spain and crossing all of Central Asia (Pamir Highway) to reach the border of Kyrgyzstan with China. Once in Khasghar, I want to cross China with my bike from west to east through Urumqui to Xian, and then go to Beijing and discover the great Chinese wall. After about five days in the Chinese capital my intention is to go north to the border with Mongolia in Erenhot, move to Mongolia and go up to Ulan Baatar. From this city I will return my motorbike by train to Europe.

The trip will be an adventure especially because I will try to cross and travel through one of the most difficult countries in the world for motoadventurers for about three weeks. The month of beginning of the trip would be in May-June of 2020.

For that reason, I would appreciate it if anyone who wants to share this adventure with me stays with us in Khasghar to share expenses for processing permits, guides and others costs, that are essential for entering China.

I would also appreciate experiences and advice from any partner who has made a similar trip: Thank you very much.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You might want to have a look at your map again. Kashgar is INSIDE China by quite a bit.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
