Africa 2010
We, my wife and I, are planning to travel to Ethiopia from our beautiful country Sweden. We will travel in our VW bus syncro. We are used to travel and do like "compactliving", but to Africa we have only travelled by air. Our plan is to go through Egypt and down, Sudan etc. Because we like slowdriving and time to look around at the surrondings we will be on the road for about 2 month. If anybody out there, are interested to make us company part of this trip, feel free to write to us! If someone has some good advise to give us or important information we might need we are willing to listen!
Our plan is to start our dreamtrip in agust/september 2010.

Most probebly we are going ahead of you but we never know... sure we can share experiences! We also are talking about to travel through Saudi to Jedda... and are trying to get some information about that. Do you know anything about that alternative?
Saudi are very beautiful and many years ago I travelled that way to Yemen.

The date on that thread is 2008 so not sure when they are travelling as the title does say 2010! We are however arriving in Egypt 24th October 2010 to head to SA. Maybe see you on the road

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
