Africa in search of a good story!
Hi,
Just about to leave for Africa to do the south north route, when I decided to actually pick a topic/story and ride for/after it with a video camera (indi level). My story will take me through kind of difficult terrain, and filming alone is hard so I think it would be wiser to partner on this mission. The story does go through several countries. I do have a background in videography and currently located in the US. If there is anyone who is interested in riding, but not from a specific point to another but rather by topic/story I would love to hear from you.

That sounds like a grand adventure in the making. Good luck and have a safe trip! Do keep posting the rushes when you can.

south america
If you decide to try this idea in South America instead of Africa where I used to live, let me know. I currently live in Costa Rica and am hoping to do just this soon.

Thanks
Thanks for all the great replies.
The Rhodes idea is good, but unfortunately, I am limited by citizenship which is Israeli. Can't do Sudan and such. Also, I would like to focus on the day to day stuff. The small stuff. Subsistence, farming, water, tribalism, war & peace, foreign aid projects and for Lorraine, maybe even dogs . Sometimes you just have to be there, feel place and the people to find an interesting story.
Hurcomb, I will be landing in S.A. in Jan and heading up to the Zambezi, hopefully through Zimbabwe. Will you be in the area, shall we talk about it?

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
