By October I hope to be in Ecuador/Peru/Boliva.

Hi Tom,
I am going to write a blog post about my experiences in shipping the bike just after I have got it out of Customs in Canada.

From Australia it costs $2800 from Brisbane to Vancouver. All in. There are a few costs added on top of the original quote. So be prepared for that.
My blog post is here, I made some rookie mistakes so you can read about them.

Hi RNS,
I'm getting to Calgary on the 15th of July, ride Canada, Alaska and then aprox. 4 more weeks in the US. I'm also thinking on crossing on a ferry from Baja California.
I plan to get to my home town in Argentina (close to BA) by the end of December, spend some time with my family there and then travel around one more month to the south.
Anyone going there (between Dec and March) is automatically invited to an asado and craft

I've been planning a trip to Newfoundland (Canada's most easterly province) will be in Calgary July 3 - 8. My plan is to do as much gravel as possible, going north from Calg. & staying in the north to Manitoba. I've been across Canada many time's on Hwy 1 so am looking at something new. Will be returning to the west coast on Hwy 1.( your welcome to come along ) I'll be back in BC for the HU meeting in Aug. 20-23 you should come if your still in the area.
If your still in Canada or US in Sept. I could meet you before crossing into Mexico.
According to info on HU its quite difficult to get bike & rider from Panama to SA.

I have the bike almost ready, time and some money, that's it. I don't have a fixed route nor schedule, just some idea of the places I want to visit. I know people that have done Alaska and the US and are sharing information with me, and for the southern bit I know some already. I'm from Argentina, so language will probably not be a problem.
I don't mind travelling by myself, but I also enjoying sharing experiences, so I'm opening the invitation in case there's someone else interested in doing something similar.
I've done a few 2-3 weeks trips before, in small and big groups, and I love being on the road with my bike, so this is for me just an excuse to ride as much as possible and get some experiences on the way.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
