I leave next week, and will be in Mexico the 29th of Sept. After all this time saving and preparing, departure time is finally here! If you ride fast you can catch up. Hope to see you on the road.

Hi Arne,
it's nice to have U on the road soon. I'm in Guatemala at the moment and will take 2 weeks of spanish lessons in Antigua. I'll be in Costa Rica around November ... going slow at the moment. It's very likely you'll catch up :-)

Hi Sam, hi Hugh,
I'll be crossing at Columbus, New Mexico, after riding own the western side of NM. From there a straight shot to Copper Canyon via Nuevo Casas Grandes. Sam, I plan on being in Costa Rica mid November, I'll let you know details as I get closer.
Adios, Arne

Just wanted to say there will be one more biker doing the Americas this fall. I'm leaving New Hampshire on October 15 to Tierra del Fuego. Hope I meet up with some of you on the road. Vayan con Dios.

I too plan to have a look around South America this autumn. I plan to ship my bike to Buenos Aires and start from there at the beginning of November. Itinerary is BA to Santiago and from there north towards Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. Haven't managed to convince anyone to join me as yet so would like to meet up with fellow travellers along the way!

I am a solo biker who has been in Argentina and chile for the past month and a half. slowly making my way up north, unsure about final destinations or two days from now! i will be on my bike through early 2003 in these parts...liked the conversation going here and figured i might be able to answer any questions someone might have about these parts. maybe we'll meet on the road...to all safe travels!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
