Anyone going Iran - Pakistan - India in late October / November 2010
Dear Worldtravelers,
My itinerary from Austria to India leads me through Iran and Pakistan late October and November this year. Does anybody have a similar route? As I am a solo rider on a BMW GS bike, I look for fellow travelers for parts of that route.
I would also appreciate any information from people who have recently done that route or willing to share travelers POIs of that region with me.
I do look forward to your comments

Did it in reverse a couple of years ago, have a look at my blog/photos for more info. Not sure how viable getting visas for Pakistan is at the moment though. You might also have some cold weather issues in east Turkey at that time of year too.

@ MikeS: Thanks! I'll go through your link to gather more information. No issues with visas and docs for me, as I have already got them back home.

I'm in London now, trying to get the visas and cardet de passage before my money runs out. Want to continue on to Australia and New Zealand via Thailand, Malaysia etc.. If you haven't left I'm I'd be happy for a wingman. Have a trailer behind me so won't be gunning it though.

Hi,
we are on the same direction to India. Currently in Yazd, planning to enter Pakistan in the beginning of November or maybe look for some alternative way. Anybody near?

Hi Helen & Neil,
I have teamed up with Bryn back in Turkey. We are currently in Tehran and hope to meet up with you soon. I sent you a PM with our current location.
@ Zoran & Tamara: There seem to be quite some people on their way towards Pak. We will be crossing borders in about 2 weeks time. Please send me a PM for a meeting point if feasible.
Greeting, BigTom

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
