Anyone heading to Baja and beyond in next couple of weeks
Hi,
I am preparing to leave California in the next two weeks and head down to Mexico through Baja, with the plan to continue all the way to Argentina by the end of the year. I'm not in a rush and my plans are very flexible so if anybody is heading in a similar direction it would be good to hear from you.
I had previously posted a thread titled "LA to Argentina start of Feb 2011" as that was my original time of departure. However after shipping my bike from Australia to California and riding it around for a while I had an unfortunate accident with a pickup truck which has held me up for quiet a while.
The bike is now fixed and is better than new and I'm ready to go, I'm a 28 year old Australian who is very easy to get along with and I will be travelling on a 2010 Yamaha Tenere.
I look forward to hearing from like minded people.

Headed South from Seattle April 2nd.
A friend of mine are riding our Dr650's, south, for the next 9+ months. Baja is out first major destination. We leave Seattle in 10 days.
We're both 24, known each other for 15+ years, riding our 2006/2007 Dr650's, hablamos espanol, and we're also headed to Argentina in the long haul.
Let us know where you are, and we'll swing on by.

Hi Alex,
Good to hear from you, sounds like we have a similar trip in mind. I am currently in San Luis Obispo, half way between San Francisco and LA and will either be here or in LA when you pass through.

Right on...
We have no plans as of yet in regards to where we will be on a day to day basis. We just know that having lived in the US our entire lives (on the west coast) our main initial objective is to hit the border pretty soon after we depart Seattle.
Other then that we're just moving South on a regular basis.
Send a p.m. my way any time and we can meet up for a or some food.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
