Anyone in California heading east?
I'll be heading (south) east in a week or two from San Francisco. Are anybody out going the same way who would like to team up for a bit?

Heading East to Florida
Hi Annette
I'm just returning from Argentina (to Canada) and am currently (18May08) in Houston, Texas and I am heading East towards Florida on or about 22May08. My plan is to be in Florida NLT 30May08, for a space shuttle launch watching opportunity. If that works for you?
Cheers
Mike

Thanks for your replies. I've come down with a flue so I'll be staying on the west coast a while longer before I head south/east. There're so many beautiful place to visit, I can hardly believe. So I probably won't be heading towards Grand Caynon until the beginning of June.
Ride safe!

cross country ride coming up
Annette (and others in this thread) -
I'm leaving San Diego June 10th, heading for New England, then around eastern Canada, then back to southern California. Don't have my return route figured out yet, but would be glad to meet up and ride with anyone along the way.
PS - I am cheating on the eastbound leg. Shipped my bike. I just didn't have enough time off to ride in both directions, and have some family stuff to take care of at specific dates in the Northeast.
Anyone riding west, leaving the Northeast, say July 1 or so?
PS - i will be posting my trip stories, photos and some video on this site, but also on my own site: Motorcycle rides, motorcycle roads, routes, videos and adventures - MyRidz.com. I designed it to be very easy for riders to post their road trip tall tales, complete with photos and video
Ride safe, but get out there?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
