Anyone who can help me get on my feet in California?
I plan to depart January or February next year, is there anyone here kind enough to help me get started?
Somewhere to stay with someone who can help me whilst I buy a bike and put the title/insurance in my name would be greatly appreciated!
P.S No kidney thieves please!

hey pocket,
would be happy to let you crash at my place for a few days. i live in oakland (about 10 minutes outside of san francisco). there are tons of bikes here, so finding a good one shouldn't be a problem. Los Angeles will also have many bikes to choose from. I'm currently in the middle of a London-Minsk-Israel trip !!! but I'm back in the US on Aug. 8th and happy to help.

I don't know when I'll be back but you can stay at my apartment in Sacramento. You can put the title/rego in your name and use my address.
I'm in India now trying to figure out how to get my bike flown/shipped from Melbourne to Delhi. This country is great and if I can find a job that will pay me a good western wage, I might stay. If not, I'll be back in California (slim chance of South Korea teaching English).

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
