Aussie rider would like pillion or rider company in Europe
I am a middle aged, very young at heart Aussie who travels to Europe each year and keeps a touring motorcycle in the UK for European travel. I will be arriving in the UK on 22/6, leaving for France on 24/6, returning to Oz on 30/7. During this time I will be riding in France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands, there is a possibility of a Scandinavian leg depending on weather. I am tall and fit and will incorporate some walking tours, not all riding. Bike is a very comfortable tourer and I would be interested in an intelligent, self assured pillion companion for some or all of the trip (prefer the fairer sex). Most expenses covered, no camping out, and no obligations other than being a good travelling companion with a sense of humour! I enjoy good food and good wine and hope to incorporate same in my travels as I have done previously (not while riding).
If you have a sense of adventure, would enjoy meeting someone from far afield, and enjoy, and can carry a conversation on a wide variety of topics you may find this an opportunity of interest. If you have your own bike that you would prefer to ride that would also work out. An English friend and his girlfriend may also travel with me on part of the ride. Meeting point can be anywhere in Europe.
Please send some contact details and a little info on your self if you are interested.

Maybe meet somewhere
I'm also a tall middle age (depending on your classification of middle, me 41) kiwi. Yes not very far afeild except the fact i'm not near home. I'm doing scotland and the north over summer, always keen on meeting like minded biker, ie people who like to ride from a to b instead of bus... train well i do like them sometimes hehe. will never do pillion unless rider is heaver than me(very very unlikely even tho i have lost 20kg in my trip so far) as the heaver has control, ish.
Unimportant tho as i have my own uk bike and am doing a different trip.
But enjoy everything, always.

hmmmm
I may be able to find some time to join you. I've been round all those countries before though I don't mind going again, but would like to do some Scandinavia if it suits (I'll start saving up for the now). I am also tall, fit, mid 40's speak half decent German (which can't hurt). On a Multistrada 1200, you should be able to reply through my personal contact link, need to be home on 29th. Chris (I once got burgled and lost everything in Cairns but I'm almost over it). PS I am a very straight bloke.

Hi Chris W
Thank you for your reply. I am not sure if you are an aussie or a pom (won't hold it against you), or if you are male or female? I will be getting a UK sim and will send you the number before I get to the UK to see if we can hook up. I will be staying in Olney (Bucks) for a few days while my bike is having an annual service etc. I am riding Bimmer K 1300GT but won't hold a multistrada against you!
Cheers
Steve

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
