Smile Australia - South America, want to ship together?

My bf and I are just starting to look into all the details of a couple of different trips to decide which we can realistically save for. One of which is shipping from Australia to South America... I have heard it can be cheaper to share a container with other bikers, so I thought I would just see if any one else is interested? It would be roughly within 1-2 years time. Would prefer to ship into Buenos Aires or Santiago and by air vs sea.

Never know unless you ask!

Cheers,

Jaz

I've told myself this would be my next riding trip... so keep me in the loop if the trip ends up going ahead in 1-2 years as imagined, and I might have a couple of others to help share the costs.

I'm going

Wife and I are also shipping this year. Want to pick up our bikes during the week 7 to 11 November. Are getting air freight quotes (not in yet), but have a sea freight (63 days) quote for our 2 bikes (DR650 & XT250) and luggage of $1287 + $55 port fees + $70 Doc all AuD. Melbourne or Adelaide to Valparaiso via Singapore.

Suspect sea ship will be the way to go. But any one else in this time frame and maybe we can share a container.

cheers,
Stephen

Hey guys Im interested in sharing a container with someone. Whatever is cheapest, Im riding a xt660z tenere.

My Ozzie visa runs out at the 12th august next year. So ideally would ship a month or so before this date?

I have experience in shipping motorcycles by air, so have some experience in shipping. Im all game for saving money by sharing... Helps to have more heads when it comes to logisitics and decision making each end.

Let me know. Thanks
Rob

Im more active on my Facebook page etc but will check here time to time. Private messages also alert on my phone from here too.

Cheers
Rob

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
