Hello Everybody,
I plan on leaving Vienna, Austria, begin of October 2005 and am looking for a companion through Africa. I ride a fully prepared XT600 ( http://www.xt600.de/xt_des_monats/2004/05_2004.htm) and have already little Africa experience (Kenya and Morocco).
So, if anybody likes to join just let me know!

I m on my way allready I ll be around Egypt when you start. How fast you plan to travel.
Maybe if i ll be slow and you ll be fast we could meet somewhere. Grant advised me to remove my e-mail so I did that.

hi benleeke
We have heard stories of people waiting for the Sudanese visa in Cairo for days or weeks...
So we have sent our passports,2 fotos, visa forms(u can get them from the embassys web site) and some kind of an invitation letter from a guy from Khartoum
to the Sudan embassy in Berlin..
We were greatly surprised when they called us the next day that the visas are stamped in and theyre sending the passports back!!!
I think this is the world record in geting it done....and we wont have to loose time in Cairo...
I think you should try the same..
If you need any specific info , pls mail me..
Cu on the road.

Hello Wolfi,
we just read about your trip and wonder if you will report about it from the road (via website or mailing-list). We just arrived back from our RTW-trip, two up on a Transalp. But we missed Africa - so we are very much interested in your trip. How long will it last? BTW: We are living 35 km south of vienna now - hope we can meet some time after your journey to swap some stories...

Hi U!
I am about to leave next week and will most probably write some reports on my website www.globebiker.com. Right now I am still packing which has priority but hopefully my sister will put the site on the web in the next 2-6 weeks already with the first reports and pics.
Check www.cb-ontour.de - those guys are some 2 months ahead and you might find what you are looking for at the moment.
Anyhow I would like to see you and hear more about your great RTW trip!
Best regards from Moedling!
