BA to Bogota thru Brazil coast, Belem - Manaus by boat or road April to July

Hello,

After reaching Ushuaia and relaxing for a few weeks in Bunos Aires, it will soon be time to point my mighty KLR in the direction of some new adventures.

For the moment, I'm looking at something along the lines of :

BA - Foz de Iguazu - Sao Joaquim - Florianopolis - Blumenau - Sao Paulo - Rio then up the coast to Belem from where I boat or ride (although sounds totally crazy, me gusta) to Manaus. then up venezuela and make my way to Bogota.

Right now, I'm thinking 2 months for the whole way. mas o menos.

looking for someone laid back and up for this awesome adventure.

I'm 33 yo, from Montreal, I speak french, english and a bit of spanish (cada dia un poco mas).but NO portuguese

Manaus to Maracaibo

Hi,
I've been traveling through south america on my KTM 990 for the last 6 months and will ride from Manaus to Maracaibo around mid of june. Am in Porto Seguro right now heading north. I'd like to ride through Venezuela with some company for safety reasons, let me know if that's of interest to you.

My name is Helly, I'm a German living in New Zealand, check out my blog to learn more about me if you want: Good bye and thanks for all those roads!

Ciao, Helly

I'll be in Bolivia in June. Iguazu in late June or early July. Then I'd like to ride Brazil. I don't have a route or agenda planned out so I'm pretty flexible. I'm riding a DR650. I'm always up for a little riding.

Hi,

Just came down and can tell you the Amazonas Boat trip is amazing and the people in Venezuela have been as friendly as the people in Brasil. Insted of robing or killing me they offered nice fruits:

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
