Balkans to Greece and back North
Hi All,
I am heading down to Greece then North to get back to the UK. I am setting off from the UK on the 25th and aiming to be back in the UK for the August the 29th. I intend to do a lot of off road riding and see some interesting sights.
The route is something like this; first heading to North Italy to Bardonecchia to ride there then heading down through Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Greece. Then I will be heading back North through Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic and back to the UK.
I am looking for anybody who is interested in doing a similar trip or would like to join for a part of the trip, or anybody who lives along the way who may be interested for a weekends riding.
If anybody is interested feel free to contact me and we can organise something.
Thanks,
James

This trip sounds pretty cool. Your starting from the UK right, on the 25th of Aug? Is that enough time?
I would like to do some off roading abroad, i have been looking at Enduro in Morocco, but it would be good to do it in more than one country.
What are you planning to ride the trip on?

Feel free to join me
Hi Cullen,
I will be riding a KTM 950 Adventure.
This is genuinely a rough idea of the route. My only commitments are to meet a friend in Austria and possibly Bulgaria. I have a fully planned route down to Greece and after that it's whatever I can manage, it's not going to be a monster misson.
I believe 4 and a bit weeks to be enough I should have written July 24th/25th - August 28th/29th. I'm not 100% on the dates yet, as I have an important event on the 23rd of July.
I am happy for anyone to join me for whatever length of time really, or I can meet up with them along the way? I am very easy going.
Thanks,
James

I'm doing something similar. I leave the UK on 23rd July and have 6 weeks. I'm heading for Bosnia first, then Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania. Then ferry to Italy and back that way (I was in Romania last year)
Drop me a message when you get down there and we'll see where we are.

16days is a bit short do do a lot of countries, that's for next year when I'll quit my job to go travelling.. :-) But I would love to join someone to his way to Italy for example..

Nico,
What way are you heading back from Greece? My plan is to head through Romania and Bulgaria. Will gladly meet up if you would like to.
Jonathan,
what is your itinerary? Where are you aiming to get to?

Hey James,
I am busy planning at the moment.
There are some places I want to visit, but I will pass most of them on the way to greece.
On the way back I will be meeting a friend in Skopje and from there make it somehow to the Iron Gate at the Serbian - Romanian border.
I have no fixed timetable. It would be nice to ride together.
