bike trip support vehicle
Hello to you all, my first entry !2 years ago I cycled around the world, last year I road around the world on my old XT600 & loved every moment, so much so I want to go again, this time in my Suzuki Jimny, this will be fully prepared by me & would serve well as a support vehicle for a couple of bikers who dont want the agro of carring all the heavy items needed, I would be able to change tires, straighten bent rims, frames etc, this is a hastily added thread and a tester for responses, I am not looking to be paid for my services this is a team event in the making !

This sounds like a great idea. Bikes can ride light so no need for big bikes, which in my view would make the ride more enjoyable.

Hello Mark, Im not sure I will be ready to leave as soon as you may be planing as I am working, building the suzuki, training for a cycle ride from Anchorage to Texas, I have every intention to cicumnavigate Iceland in the winter so I have missed that opportunity this year !,I am putting a lot of time into vehicle preperation to gain a solid support car & something that will not fail at the first river crossing ? I will without doubt be ready next winter & travelling next year until the inheritance expires, Russia, Mongolia, Japan. Hope to talk again, regards, john

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
