Hi Andreas,
try Walter Nosiglia for renting bikes. www.nmadadventures.com (or .bo)
His motorcycle shop is very reliable and he is a very helpful guy. But for a longer period, renting seems to be expensive.
For shipping to South America check GS-Sportreisen in Muenchen, Hellmann Logistics in Duesseldorf or MBS in Koeln.
You should check before you travel if the situation in Bolivia is calm, in the last two years they had roadblocks all over the country that lasted several weeks. Travelling was impossible then. Last October the city of Uyuni was blocked by striking miners and the tourist had to be evacuated by the army. Furthermore, in 2001 the Salar de Uyuni was flooded from January to September.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
