G'day riding friends,

I'm setting off to Broome from Brisbane on July 1st. I'm 37 years old, ride a BMW R1200GSA (2014) and can get along with most walks of life.

I'll be meeting my girlfriend in Alice Springs 7-9 days later where she will drive a 4WD in support going across the Tanami track to Halls Creek, then on to Kununurra, Gibb River Road, Derby and finally Broome. I plan on doing the Alice to Broome section with just her.

I will store the bike there in Broome for a month then do Broome to Brisbane in September and haven't decided on a route for that leg just yet so if your interested in doing that part then let me know as that will be just me at this stage.

My riding history is about 10 years and come from a more road orientated background but have recently acquired a strong liking for off road. Ive recently completed a Cairns to Cape York 8 day trip but I wouldn't plan on taking the big Beemer on some of those tracks that I encountered on the DRZ400 during that ride!

I'll be going solo from Brisbane to Alice but as always, its nice to share the adventures so if any of you are keen to come along part or all of the way to Alice then PM me and I will send you the itinerary I have produced. Some days are camp and some are staying in the local pub/motel/hotel. Varying it up from 3-6 riding hours per day. Am first aid trained and will be carrying a sat phone and spot tracker with me plus have the ability to carry 6 litres extra fuel or water.
